Mission

Our Mission

Compassion New England exists to spread hope and love to people in need! We do this by meeting local needs with effective, sustainable programs. All of the programs of CNE were created in response to a tangible need that we saw in our community. Our team is always thinking “How can we help?”.

Crisis Center

Our Crisis Center at the Home Store in Mendon serves individuals, families, foster families etc. in need of basic necessities. Over the last 15+ years we have had the privilege of serving people in wide range of circumstances. From house fires to pregnancy, job loss & homelessness, to escaping domestic violence – whatever the situation, people in need find a trained Care Representative ready to help! Our Care Representatives invite our clients to a safe and comfortable setting where they can share their story and discuss their needs. A custom voucher booklet is then given for the items needed at no cost, redeemable at The Blessing Barn Home Store, Apparel Store and Bargain Basement.

The Happy Place

The Happy Place strives to establish acceptance, encouragement and support in order to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities and families with children with special needs. We operate a Kids and Adult Clubhouse that provides a safe space to hang out and be themselves, as well as a Vocational Program dedicated to providing vocational training opportunities.

Room in the City

Room in the City was launched in November of 2020 in order to provide free, short term housing for the loved ones of patients admitted into Boston hospitals. We have a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment in the Beacon Hill neighborhood (walking distance to Mass General Hospital). We hope our guests will find RITC to be a comfortable place to rest and recharge during a challenging time.
